Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation Review

If you guy have been visiting this site for some time, you will know that I am a sucker for foundation. It is without a doubt my favourite makeup product. I have a whole draw in my vanity which is dedicated to nothing but foundations.

I probably have 50 different foundations knocking around in that draw and I love them all for different reasons. So, when Charlotte Tilbury released her new foundations some time ago, I knew I was going to have to try it out for myself. When I saw that it was a full coverage product I wasted no time in logging onto her website and purchasing it straight away. So, here is my full review of the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation.

Why I wanted this foundation.

The main reason why I wanted this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation was because I had heard amazing things. That it was high coverage yet looked amazing in person and in photos. Whenever a product has claims like that, I want to get my hands on it and give it a go. Plus, I have tried some really amazing foundations recently and I wanted to see how it holds up to them in comparison. Especially considering how much everybody else was raving about this amazing item!

The packaging.

As with anything Charlotte Tilbury, I expected this to be stunning and it did not disappoint. I know that some people think that when I speak about packaging it is irrelevant. I do understand that it is all about the product inside. But when you are paying for a premium product, I at least want the packaging to reflect that and for it to feel luxe. This frosted glass bottle is just out of this world. I love the old Hollywood vibes, as with all of her products. It just makes it a little more special when I do reach for this from my drawer.

The coverage.

There is no doubt in my mind that this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation is one of the highest coverage products that I have tried. A good test for foundations is always the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. Usually with other liquid foundations I have to really pack the product on for it to cover everything effectively. However, with this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, one quick swipe and everything is hidden completely. There is no need to pack the product on because off the bat it is high coverage. Do note, this can be buffed out to get a more medium coverage.

The consistency.

One potential negative about this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation is that it is a slightly heavier foundation. When I think about it in comparison to some of my current favourites, it is a thicker formula. However, I don’t overtly see that as a negative. I like that it is a slightly liquid to cream formula as it allows it to apply beautifully to the skin. Plus, with the high level of coverage, you need to be prepared for something to give and for the formula to be slightly heavier. It may just be baring in mind if you are generally a fan of a lighter glam.

The longevity.

I need my foundation to last flawlessly all day long. Usually, I will apply my foundation at around 6am in a morning and I wont remove it until 8pm at night. If a foundation that I am trying cannot manage this with minimal touch ups, it will get cut from my routine. But the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation has no problem dealing with this. If anything, I would say that this is one of those amazing products that looks better and better, the longer that you have it on your skin. As your natural oils begin to work through the foundation, it looks amazing on the skin and with a really beautiful finish.

Compared to other foundations.

Whenever I try out a new foundation, I always compare it to the other ones that I love. I am thinking along the lines of the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the Nars Radiant Longwear Foundation. Does this foundation have good longevity like those two products? Yes. Does this Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation have good coverage like my two favourites? Yes, I would even say that it has more coverage. Does this foundation feel comfortable on the skin like the two mentioned items?  The product is comfortable, but slightly heavier on the skin than the Giorgio Armani and Nars.
