Today I am going to be speaking to you guys all about the Anastasia Brow Freeze. When this product was first released a number of years ago, I was pretty sceptical about it. I was seeing people sticking their eyebrows up to the heavens and I simply couldn’t get on board. When it comes to my brows I like a fairly natural look, I never go too crazy with them, and I never got on board with soap brows. However, after recently getting my first brow lamination and a proper brow groom, I saw the difference that lifted brows can make. I was told by my brow technician that the Anastasia Brow Freeze could help with prolonging the effects of the lamination. I picked it up straight away and began to put it to the test. Here is what I thought.
Why I wanted this item.
The main reason why I wanted to get the Anastasia Brow Freeze was to enhance my brows. As I mentioned, I recently delved into brow lamination. I always thought that my brows were beyond help, but after getting acquainted with an amazing brow tech, I am thrilled with how they look now. In-between appointments, that is where I find myself reaching for the Anastasia Brow Freeze. I had seen other people try and master this item. I do however want to start out by saying that this item takes a level of learning. I had a number of mishaps in the early days!
How I use this product.
With the Anastasia Brow Freeze, I have to use it differently to how I do other brow products. Previously, I would always define my brows using a brow pencil and then set them with a transparent brow gel. However, with this, I apply it before I go in with my foundation. Once I have my moisturiser and SPF on my skin, I will lay my brows down using this product. Then, while I am doing my brows it has time to dry down before I go in and define my brows with a pen. It has flipped my routine on its head, but I am not overly bothered by that.
How does it compare to other brow products?
Over the years, I have tried many brow products before picking up the Anastasia Brow Freeze. A long running contender has been the Benefit Brow Gel and I really do love that product. However even though they compare in the fact that this is another transparent brow product, they do vary in the application. The Benefit product I have always worn on top of my standard brow pencil. Whereas the Anastasia Brow Freeze I always use before I go in with my brow pen to draw in individual hairs. I will say that this blows other products out of the water in terms of hold.
How long does it last?
I have said before, when I put my makeup on, I need it to last all day long. I tend to get ready at around 6:30am most days of the week and I want my makeup still on place in the evening. To be honest, my base is the main area that I want to stay strong. However, my brows frame my face so much, that I don’t want to see them suddenly disappear. I have really put this to the test and unless you are purposely trying to remove it, it will not budge. I have even fallen asleep with my makeup on and my brows have still been perfectly in place the following morning!
Would I repurchase?
As you can probably tell, I love this Anastasia Brow Freeze. It is amazing quality and easy to use once you get the hang of it. I don’t think that I could have got this to work for me if I hadn’t had my brows done by a professional beforehand. But I know that there are some people out there that picked this up and it worked for them really quickly. I guess it depends on what you have already to work with in terms of your brows. My natural brows beforehand would have been far too thick and long to make this work.
