My Mulberry Lily Handbag Review

Time for another fashion blog post and today it is all about the Mulberry Lily Handbag. I first saw this item many years ago and I knew I needed to own it. I think it was my aunty who I saw carrying this to begin with, and I fell in love. It was the first time I had seen a Mulberry item up close, and it just felt unlike anything I had experienced before. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend this much cash on one item. It wasn’t until my older sister was getting married and I was the maid of honour that I decided to treat myself. Low and behold, I bought the Mulberry Lily and I have been in love with it ever since. In this post, I will share why I love my Mulberry Lily handbag so much!

What I think about the colour?

When I picked up this Mulberry handbag, I got it int the light pink colour. At the time, the main reason for me getting this handbag was because I was a bridesmaid, so it had to go with my dress. To be honest, even though it is probably hell of a lot lighter than I would normally go for, I use it so much. If I am ever wearing a colour that incorporates lighter colours, I will just reach for this item. Because it is a fantastic neutral, it pairs with so much and I have never regretted the colour choice.

What I think about the size?

Next up in regard to the Mulberry Lily handbag has to be the size. I went for the ‘Medium Lily’, which is essentially the largest size that they do. Even though I did like the standard size, I thought going for the bigger option would broaden how much I would use it. Because I did get a pretty large size, I can use this all of the time. Even if I am heading into work, I can use this as my everyday handbag. I have never used this handbag and wished that I had more room. I can fit everything inside that I need and that is a dream for me.

Do I have to be precious with the item?

This is something that I do want to talk about. I hate buying an item and then having to treat it like it is wrapped in cotton wool. The prime example of this was my Chanel Double Flap Bag with lambskin leather. That bag would scratch so easily, and it was painful to see. With this Mulberry Lily Handbag, because it is a caviar style grained leather, it is much more durable. I am not precious with this item in the sense that I have to worry about where I am putting it or where I am going. However, one thing that I do have to be careful with is transferring. Because this is a light colour, if I was to wear this rubbing against jeans, the colour would transfer.

Have I got my money’s worth out of the item?

I need to finish up this blog post by talking about the cost per wear. As much as I truly love designer items, I always want to make sure that they are cost-effective. Because of this, I log all of my closet in an app, which calculates the cost per wear over time. I can see that during the couple of years which I have owned this handbag, I have worn it approx. 120 times. Which is very good going when you consider how many handbags I own. Without a doubt, I will continue to wear this item and I am even looking to add another Mulberry Lily handbag to my collection!
