You guys will know by now that I am a sucker for a handbag. Always have been and I always will be. Because of that, I have amassed quite a collection of stunning handbags and I love each of them. For that reason, I want to share with you guys some of my favourite handbags that I wear to work. When I first started working, I would wear a cheap and cheerful bag to work. They did the job, but I longed to wear my designer items. However, I didn’t want to beat them up too much using them on the daily for work. Quickly my opinion changed when I realised that my bags weren’t fulfilling their destiny by sitting on the shelves in my dressing room. Which is why today I am going to share with you my top 5 workwear bags in my collection.
Mulberry Bayswater Satchel.
My current everyday workwear bag is the stunning Mulberry Bayswater Satchel. To me, this bag encompasses everything that I need from a workwear handbag. It has plenty of space inside. I can get my laptop inside with ease however I can struggle with my larger old school laptop. But my MacBook glides in with no difficulties. Then there is the appearance of the bag. The grained black leather makes this a versatile bag that is not only stunning, but also hardwearing and always looks beautiful. Whether I am wearing this to the office or just generally, I always get so many compliments I feel like Mulberry is just one of those non-problematic brands that always delivers on quality.
Hermes Kelly.
Generally speaking, I need my workwear handbags to be on the larger side. I usually have some papers to carry around and my laptop. However, there are specific occasions where I no longer want a large bag and instead I want to opt for something that is a little smart. That is where without a doubt, I will always opt for the Hermes Kelly. Don’t get me wrong, I know how crazy it is to mention this bag, due to the crazy cost of the item. However, there is no denying that this is without a doubt one of my top 5 workwear bags from my collection. Not to mention one of my most complimented items.
Louis Vuitton Neverfull.
Let’s welcome to the chat, the OG workwear handbag. There is no way that I could write a post about my top 5 workwear bags without talking about the Louis Vuitton Neverfull. I can remember when I first got an office job, I dreamed about being able to purchase this bag. It just seemed to be the go-to bag for bad bitches that worked in an office. Which was most certainly a category that I wanted to sit in. I bought mine from Vestaire Collective and it cost me around £700. I have never looked back, I have used this more than I care to mention and I would purchase it again in a heartbeat.
Dior Book Tote.
If you have read my site before, you may be familiar with my love/hate relationship with this bag. When it was first released, I wasn’t a fan. I didn’t see how anybody could want a bag with such garish branding. Low and behold a few months later, I needed it. Since picking this up, I have worn it hell of a lot. The thing that makes this a perfect workwear handbag is that it comfortably fits my 15” MacBook inside. Something that many other bags struggle with. My only bug bare is that this bag is extremely rigid, making it difficult to manoeuvre at certain times.
Chanel Douville Tote.
When I first saw that Chanel had come out with the Chanel Douville, I knew that I wanted to try it out. It was Chanel’s take on the ever popular canvas bag and they had me hooked straight away. Now that I have this, I have worn it so much. There was an occasion a while back where I had to cart around shitloads of files and this was the best bag for the job. I think what gives me faith in this bag is that the straps are a combination of metal and leather. Meaning that I can overload it to my heart’s desire and the handles aren’t going to give way!
