My Ugg Ultra Mini Boots Review

Today we are going to be speaking about shoes. In particular we are going to be discussing the brand that everybody loves to hate, Ugg. When Ugg made their big revival over the past year I was thrilled. Without a doubt, I was one of the first people to reinvest in the brand. Since then, the love story has been well and truly back on track. I first fell in love with the brand back in 2008. I had the tall Ugg boots in just about every colour and fabric so when they went out of style, I was devastated. It was definitely a trend that I clung onto for far too long, but eventually I had to say goodbye. But now, they are back and oh bloody hell, are the Ugg Ultra Mini Boots here to stay.

Why I wanted these boots.

The main reason why I wanted these boots was because I felt like I had a gap in my closet. When I am opting for a more relaxed outfit, say on the weekend, I opt for trainers generally. However, I am not a big lover of trainers. They don’t typically suit my style or the kind of looks that I normally go for. When I saw these Ugg Ultra Mini boots, I could instantly see all of the different ways that I could wear and style them. That was the first major sign that I had to get them for myself.

How I style them.

Ugg boots for me will always be the ultimate comfy day pair of shoes. My favourite way to wear these is with a pair of Adanola leggings and a hoody. They are my go to shoes for when I am running errands or chasing around after my nieces and nephews. I don’t think that I would ever wear them when I am more done up. To me these are on the verge of being slippers, so they are reserves for the more relaxed looks. Thanks to these, I have pretty much pushed all of my trainers to one side.

The comfort level.

How can I even mention the comfort level of the Ugg Ultra Mini Boots? You guys will already know that these shoes are lined with amazing wool and feel like you are walking on clouds. I don’t think that I have ever worn Ugg boots and felt uncomfortable in them. The only thing that could possibly make you uncomfortable is the heat from the shoes. Because of the thick lining, they make your toes toasty as hell, but for me that will always be a positive.

The practicality.

As I am sure you know, Ugg boots are made of suede. Suede is not known to be the most versatile of materials. Especially for when you live in a cold and rainy country like the UK. I have worn Uggs for many years and through years of trial and error, I have learned what I need to do. For me, it is without a doubt spraying them with Crep Protect or Scotchguard. Both of these will keep the texture of the suede the same, but will give them a waterproof coating that will allow any liquids to fall straight off them. Both of them have prolonged the life of my shoes tenfold.

The price.

If you buy these Ugg Ultra Mini Boots directly from the Ugg website, they will set you back around £135. Which I thought was pretty reasonable. I can remember going to buy Ugg boots when I was in school (many years ago), and they were a similar price. They are probably marginally more expensive, but I cannot say that it is a drastic increase. Especially with their current popularity, I would have expected them to be hell of a lot more expensive. I also think that for such a well-made pair of boots, £135 is a very reasonable price.
